The English Course just for you.
The London School of English (CT) (henceforward called LSE) was founded by Dr. Joselle Camilleri, Ph.D. (London), an experienced and highly-qualified teacher and lecturer, with the scope of targeting the teaching of English for individuals according to their abilities, aims and needs. Situated in the quiet town of San Nicoḷ, between Aci Castello and Aci Catena (within the county of Catania just 10km from the centre of the city), the LSE offers a vast range of courses from Beginners' Level to Proficiency Level, all courses designed on the aptitude, drive, motivation and time-frame of each individual candidate.
The case for individual tuition started
when, following years of teaching English as a foreign language to students
whose knowledge of English was rather limited, it resulted that most students
could not learn English at their own pace but the teaching situation
became encumbered by a number of factors such as time, number of students per
class and mixed abilities.
At the LSE all these factors have been removed in favour of a more humane
approach towards the student. The philosophy behind the LSE is to look at
the student as an individual with potentials that can be exploited in favour of
learning. The learning situation is furthermore enhanced by the one-to-one
approach or, in some cases, by the mini-group approach where students can be
allocated in groups having no more than three individuals. Individual attention is
ascertained in this manner. Progress can be monitored and problems
identified for eventual troubleshooting.
